Feeling Sketchy?

While it’s not officially summer, the days are heating up and summer activities are on our minds. I don’t know about you, but my summers are typically jam packed and it’s easy to push creativity aside… if you don’t make it a priority!

If you are new around here, it’s my mission to make creativity part of our every day. Even if that is just 5-minutes a day!

Keep your creativity juicy!

I’m hosting a 30-day sketchy challenge and I’d love if you joined me! All it takes is 5-minutes a day for the next 30 days! You can start at any time. I encourage you to share a link to this post with a friend so they can join you, too. It’s no pressure art fun!

Why only 5-minutes?

We can ALL find 5-minutes a day. Last night I took 5-minutes before my head hit the pillow - and I had dreams about how I would elaborate on my sketch.

5-minutes keeps you from getting too fussy with your sketch. You only have time to look at basic shapes and move your drawing utensil quickly to capture what you see.

5-minutes releases perfectionism and is a fun challenge to see how you can communicate what you want to draw in the simplest way possible.

5-minutes a day creates a habit and we all need to make creating a habit! Our creativity is one of our most important human qualities - and often most neglected. Especially in a world that values productivity over creating for the fun of it!
