May you cultivate a beautiful life

31 Days of Me project

Through the month of May, I’ve been very intentional about focusing on the things that I love and the little things in life that make up my beautiful, whimsical life. You can find my 31 Days of Me project on Instagram - scroll through May 2024. My handle is @brandystarrcreates

What does it mean to cultivate a beautiful life? Nobody is going to show up and do the work for you. You are the only one that can define what your beautiful life looks like! That is exciting and a little scary. Scary because it may feel like a huge weight on your shoulders, especially if your life is not feeling all that beautiful. If that’s the case, please go back and read my post May you be delighted.

Because you are the creator of your beautiful life, it’s important to set your intentions and prioritize them over all the other things that life throws at you. Yes, I know there are a lot of surprises that will temporarily send you in another direction, but it’s important to keep coming back to your goal of cultivating a beautiful life.

Here are a few tips to keep you focused:

  1. Post your GOALS where you can see them DAILY. Maybe this is a vision board or post-it on your bathroom mirror. It could be the wallpaper on your desktop or mobile phone. The important thing is that your goals are top of mind every day. I’ve made the mistake of thinking I’m just going to remember my goals because they are important to me and then at the end of the year I’m horrified by what slipped through the cracks. Life throws a lot at us and it’s too easy to get pushed down another path without realizing it.

  2. Remember your WHY. Why is the goal you are prioritizing so important to you? What is it going to mean to you when you accomplish this goal? How is this goal going to help you cultivate a truer, more beautiful life for yourself? When you see your goal each day, take a moment to breathe deep and visualize the transformation it's going to have on your life. The transformation does not have to be monumental - it could be as simple as decluttering your home in order to feel more at ease at the end of the day.

  3. Set your top 3 intentions for the day. You can do this activity in the morning or before you go to sleep at night. Simply jot down 3 things you are going to do to move you closer to your goal. I have a handy printable to list your daily intentions for the full month. Some days the intentions will be as simple as taking out your paints, gathering your inspiration photos, and scheduling a time to paint later this week. Your intentions should link back directly to the goal you are working on.
