Decking the Halls!

I did very little decorating this year for Christmas. Aside from our tree, this little glow up is the only festive decor decking our halls. It could use a few bows, but I’ll likely keep it just as it is! Am I the only one looking to simplify the holiday this year?!

The wrapping paper is from my Retro Pop collection! You can order yours here.

What is delighting me right now? Cheesy Christmas movies. I can’t help it. There is something cozy and warm about curling up on the couch, drawing on my iPad and watching the predictable story lines.

We’ve watched a couple new holiday movies that really delighted me, too. Dear Santa with Jack Black - a kid accidentally writes a letter to Satan and a devilishly charming Jack Black appears! It was funny and sweet. I also really liked the new Ben Stiller movie, Nutcrackers. Heartwarming and full of delightful mayhem.

If you need me, I’ll be enjoying some of my annual favorites: Elf, The Family Stone, Surviving Christmas…. I better pop some popcorn and get started!

Slowing way down… This year I have been really kind to myself by removing the urge to DO, DO, DO. Simplifying the usual goody making chaos, reducing the bits and baubles to dust, and limiting the general holiday hoopla has really let me enjoy the season without overwhelm. We can all use a break - I hope this inspires you to let go of one thing on your holiday to-do list. Let it go with grace and heaps of pleasure.

Speaking of letting go - this is my sign off for the rest of 2024. Thank you for being here! See you next year!
